children's ministries

At FBCW, we believe that every child is a gift from God. Each of them is made in the image of God Himself. The Children's Ministry is designed to carry out the commission of preparing children for a lifetime of Christian discipleship. This fun, high-energy ministry works two ways; one with children during the Sunday morning worship hour and the other through planned activities held throughout the year.

Principles for Children at First Baptist Church Woodville

We love children at FBCW and are thrilled to have them among us. They are not only the future of this church, but they are the means by which the Lord's name will be carried to the next generation. We who work with children and their parents take our responsibility seriously and want to do all we can to build faith into these children and to encourage their parents. Good stewardship of church property, the safety of others and the safety of our children is important. This responsibility is what is intended by these guiding principles for our children at FBCW.

Four Basic Guiding Principles

• Respect for the house of the Lord - Children will be expected to treat the Church or other buildings, furnishings and equipment in a way that honors the Lord and to use those things in the way that they were intended.

• Respect for Adults - We want the children to honor the adults in the church with respectful speech and behavior.

• Respect for Others - We will encourage children to show respect for others.

• Respect for Themselves - We will encourage children not to act in ways that will put themselves at risk.
